OMG, ARMY! Can you actually believe this is happening?! Our OT7 kings are finally coming back to the heart of Seoul! As a Seoul native who’s lived here for over 20 years—and a literal newlywed who just finished decorating our “purple-themed” guest room—I am absolutely buzzing with excitement.
The BTS Seoul comeback concert 2026, titled ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG’, is set to transform Gwanghwamun Square into a sea of purple on March 21st. Whether you’re a local or flying in from across the globe, this is going to be a historic night. Since I know these streets like the back of my hand, I’ve put together the ultimate guide to help you navigate the chaos and enjoy the magic!

1. More Tickets! Additional Standing Seats Announced
BigHit Music just dropped some massive news! Because the demand is (obviously) skyrocketing, they are adding 7,000 additional standing seats. This brings the total capacity at Gwanghwamun Square to a whopping 22,000 seats.
The additional section will stretch from the south of Sejong-daero Intersection—basically from Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5) all the way down toward City Hall Station (Line 1). While these seats are a bit further from the main stage, don’t worry! Massive LED screens are being installed throughout the zone so you won’t miss a single wink from V or a high note from Jimin.
Ticketing Details You Can’t Miss:
- Date & Time: March 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM KST.
- Platform: NOL Ticket.
- Pro-Tip: Make sure your NOL Ticket account is verified before the 12th. Use a wired LAN connection if possible—Seoul’s internet is fast, but ARMY is faster!
2. Strict Security and Anti-Scalping Measures
BigHit is not playing around this time. To ensure real fans get in, they are implementing “Zero Tolerance” for scalpers.
- Real-Time Monitoring: They are tracking illegal resale posts 24/7.
- ID Verification: Expect a very thorough ID check at the entrance. The name on your ticket must match your ID/Passport perfectly.
- Double Authentication: For high-risk zones, there might be an extra layer of digital verification on-site.
Insider Note: As someone who lives here, I’ve seen Gwanghwamun crowds during the World Cup and festivals. It gets packed. Please arrive early and follow the staff’s directions to keep everyone safe!
3. How to Get to Gwanghwamun Square
Since the concert area spans from Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5) to City Hall Station (Lines 1 & 2), you have options!
- Subway: Line 5 is usually the most direct, but if it’s too crowded, get off at Jonggak Station (Line 1) or Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3) and walk about 5-10 minutes.
- Road Closures: Expect major traffic delays. My husband and I usually avoid driving anywhere near Sejong-ro during big events. Stick to the subway—it’s the Seoul way!

4. Why ‘ARIRANG’ is So Special
The boys are dropping their 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG’, on March 20th at 1:00 PM KST—just one day before the concert! The title “Arirang” is so deeply rooted in Korean soul and history. As a local, seeing BTS perform a theme like this at Gwanghwamun (the historical heart of the Joseon Dynasty) makes me feel so proud. It’s a beautiful blend of tradition and the future of K-pop.
5. Can’t Make it to Seoul? Watch on Netflix!
Don’t cry if you didn’t snag a ticket! This entire “ARIRANG” comeback live will be streamed globally on Netflix. You can host your own viewing party from your couch.
Local “Insider” Tips for the Big Day:
- Weather Check: March in Seoul is “fickle.” It can be sunny at noon and freezing by 8:00 PM. Wear layers!
- Food Fix: Gwanghwamun has great spots, but they will be slammed. Head behind the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts to find smaller “hidden” alleyway eateries that locals love.
- Restrooms: Public restrooms in the subway stations will have long lines. Try the nearby large office buildings or bookstores (like Kyobo Book Centre) early on.
I am so incredibly hyped to welcome the boys back to my home city. This BTS Seoul comeback concert 2026 is more than just a show; it’s a celebration of Korean culture and the power of music!
