Bangi-dong and Seongnae-dong Hidden Gems
If you’ve traveled to Seoul recently, chances are you’ve ended up at Olympic Park.
Whether it’s for a massive K-Pop concert at the KSPO Dome, a picnic under the “Lone Tree,” or just a stroll through the rose gardens, this area is a must-visit. Here is a Seoul Insider Food Map.

But here’s the problem: most tourists end up at the same overpriced franchised cafes inside the park. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I see people settling for mediocre food when there are absolute gems just a few blocks away in Bangi-dong and Seongnae-dong.
I’m keeping it 100% real today. No ads, no sponsorships—just my personal “Hit or Miss” list for the Olympic Park area. Here is my local guide to eating well in the neighborhood. I have tasted tons of restaurants near Olympicpark by myself, so trust me and follow it.
The Authentic Vibe: Haengbok Jeondosa (Happiness Preacher, 행복전도사)
Don’t let the religious-sounding name fool you; this place is a temple of flavor. Located near Bangi Station, this is a classic Korean “Sool-jip” (drinking house) that serves incredible lunch sets.

- The Vibe: At night, it’s all about Makgeolli and savory pancakes. But lunch? The quality is so high it feels like a steal.
- Why I love it: 5/5 stars. The side dishes taste like a Korean mom’s home cooking.

Fresh & Fast: Conmigo (Olympic Park Branch) (꼰미고 올림픽공원점)
Mexican food in Korea can be a bit of a gamble (sometimes too sweet, sometimes too expensive). Conmigo, located near the North Gate 2 of Olympic Park, is one of my repeat spots.

- The Verdict: The ingredients are genuinely fresh. It’s reasonably priced for the portion size, which is rare in Seoul these days.

The Quiet Alternative: Bro Burger(브로버거)
I’m going to be honest—I’m tired of the hour-long lines at Brooklyn The Burger Joint or the trendy spots in Songridan-gil. If you want a burger where you can actually hear yourself think, go to Bro Burger.

- The Experience: It’s located in the quiet Ogum-dong side of Bangi. It’s mostly locals here.
- Must-Order: The Basic Burger (Simple is the best!) and the Mushroom Fries.

The Quick Fix: Hamgyeong Myeonok (함경면옥)
This is a massive cold noodle (Naengmyeon) spot right on the main road.

- The Honest Truth: $16 (16,000 KRW) for a bowl of noodles feels a bit steep, even with inflation. However, if you are in a rush, this is your place. The food comes out almost the moment you sit down.

The Trendy Chain: Solsot(솔솥 올림픽공원점)
You’ve probably seen Solsot on Instagram. It’s a famous chain specializing in Sotbap (pot rice).

- My Take: It’s reliable. The Sea Bream Sotbap (Domi-sotbap) is light and healthy.

The “Soul Food” Hero: Seongnae Sikdang(성내식당)
If you want to see where the real “ajusshis” (Korean uncles) eat, this is it. It’s honest, cheap, and legendary. This is authentic korean local eats.

- The “K-Soul Food”: They serve Jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy pork) and old-school Donkatsu. In this economy, getting two fried eggs on your rice is a sign of true generosity.

The Healthy Choice: Andong Sadaebu Jjimdak (안동 사대부 찜닭)
Most delivery Jjimdak (braised chicken) is loaded with corn syrup and sugar. This spot near Bangi Elementary School is different.

- Why it’s better: They use tons of cabbage for natural sweetness. I usually grab a takeout container and enjoy it at home.
- Google Maps: Andong Sadaebu Jjimdak 2nd Branch
The Fusion Favorite: Zebra Sikdang (얼룩말식당)
A very popular spot in Bangi-dong known for Japanese-Korean fusion.

- Top Picks: The Eggplant Rice Bowl (Gaji-deopbap) and the Sukiyaki. Everything here is “above average” in terms of plating and taste.

The Cleanse: Avo Poke(아보)
If you’ve been eating nothing but BBQ and fried chicken, you need Avo Poke.

- The Order: Salmon Avocado Poke. Add brown rice if you want to actually feel full. It’s fresh, consistent, and right by the park.

The Heavy Hitter: Brooklyn The Burger Joint (브루클린 더 버거 조인트)
Look, it’s famous for a reason. The patties are thick, the milkshakes are decadent, and the sweet potato fries are a great alternative to regular chips.

- The Downside: It’s expensive and always crowded. But it’s the gold standard for American-style burgers in Seoul.
