Hey ARMY! 👋✨
Okay, take a deep breath because… IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING! (Hopefully!) The news is everywhere: BTS is planning a massive comeback concert right in the heart of Seoul, at Gwanghwamun Square this March! 😭💜 Can you believe it? After waiting for everyone to finish their service, we might actually see OT7 standing in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace. I literally have chills just typing this!

But—and this is a big “but”—before we start camping out, we need to talk about the reality of the situation. Seoul City has given “conditional approval” (조건부 승인), which means it’s not 100% a done deal yet.
As an ARMY living in Seoul, I want to make sure you guys are prepared for everything. So, let’s break down the tea 🍵 on why it might get cancelled and the harsh reality of the crowds.

🚫 “Conditional Approval”: When could it be cancelled?
Seoul City and the Cultural Heritage Administration are being super strict about safety (especially after recent years). Even though they said “yes” for now, they can pull the plug if these conditions aren’t met:
- Safety Management Plan Failure: HYBE needs to submit a flawless safety plan. If the police or fire department thinks the plan is even slightly risky regarding crowd control, the permit will be revoked.
- Traffic Chaos: Gwanghwamun is the center of Seoul. If they can’t prove that they can manage the traffic flow without paralyzing the entire city (blocking buses, subways, etc.), it’s a no-go.
- Heritage Protection (The Palace): Since it’s right next to Gyeongbokgung, there are strict decibel (noise) limits. If rehearsals or sound checks vibrate the ground too much and threaten the historic structures, the Cultural Heritage Administration can shut it down.
- Crowd Density: If the estimated number of attendees exceeds the safe capacity per square meter, the city will force them to cancel or move it to a boring stadium. 😢

😱 The Crowd Reality Check: Will you actually see them?
Okay, let’s say the concert happens (Manifesting! 🙏). You might be thinking, “I’ll just go early and see Jungkook’s sweat with my own eyes.” Um, bestie, let me be real with you.
- Human Ocean: We are talking about tens of thousands of people in a public square. Unless you are in the very front designated zone (which will likely be a lottery war), you will mostly be looking at the back of someone’s head… or a smartphone screen recording the stage.
- Suffocation Station: It’s going to be packed. Like, sardines packed. If you get claustrophobic or anxious in tight spaces, this might not be the “healing” concert you imagine. It could be survival mode.
- No Service: When that many people gather, data usually dies. You might not be able to upload your stories or even call your friends if you get separated.
- The “Ant” Perspective: From the back of Gwanghwamun Square, BTS might look like 7 tiny dancing ants. 🐜 You’ll likely end up watching the giant LED screens anyway.

💡 My Advice?
If you’re going, prioritize SAFETY over the view. Wear comfortable shoes (no heels, seriously!), bring water, and maybe designate a meeting spot with your friends beforehand in case phones die.
Even if we end up watching from the back (or online), just breathing the same air as them in Seoul is a win, right? Let’s hope HYBE and Seoul City work it out smoothly!
Stay safe, and see you in March! (Hopefully!) 💜
